Himachal Tour Itinerary
Day 1: New Delhi - Shimla
On arrival at Delhi airport/Rly station, our local representative will  recieve you.Later drive by road to Shimla.It takes about 10 hours to reach Shimla from New Delhi.The route followed will be New Delhi-Chandigarh-Solan-Shimla. Mountains with trees littered across them, hairpin roads and cool breeze, these things welcome you as soon as you enter Himachal Pradesh. Even the views on the roadside are so enchanting that you dare not take your eyes off of them, the curiosity seldom let you do so. With every turn you enter deep in mountains and the breeze become colder and colder and the roads become narrower. The feeling itself is great. It is polar opposite of what you feel when you travel in planes. If you are travelling for the first time on this route then you’ll have this feeling of suspense and excitement of what might come next.

When you get tired of travelling you can always stop by a ‘Khokha’- Local term for small tea shop and have a glass of hot tea. It makes you cozy and comfortable even on that wooden bench. And you’ll feel the actual luxury of travelling. Imagine being with your significant other amidst nature and the best Himachal tour. With this amazing feeling you’ll enter Shimla. Beauty will increase with every passing second. And temperature will start to decrease. When you look around you could see the mountains of Shimla hill covered with lush green trees. Soon you’ll reach Shimla and will be checking in the hotel.Spend your evening at the Mall Road.Overnight stay at the hotel.


Day 2: Excursion to Kufri

Post breakfast on the 2nd day, get ready for a day’s excursion to Kurfi, around 13 km away. The small hill town of Kurfi is an ideal holiday retreat where one can enjoy yak and horse riding. Adventure enthusiasts can trek up to Mahasu Peak. During the winter season, the place becomes all the more enchanting and turns into a skiing retreat. Back to Shimla in the afternoon. Have a leisure walk at the Mall Road while enjoying the tourist activities going on. Overnight in Shimla.

Suggested Half Day Itinerary for Shimla

jakhu_templeGoing sightseeing in Shimla is an adventure in itself. The best way to explore Shimla is walking. Take it easy and take a stroll. With its vehicle-free streets, Shimla invites you to take things at a leisurely pace. If you enjoy walking, then you’ll definitely love Shimla. As its main street is an east-west pedestrian called ‘The Mall’. Here, you find you’ll find yourself in the middle of what looks like a traditional English town, with its little shops and larger buildings in Tudor, Victorian and Edwardian styles. If you get tired, you can stop for a rest at the Ridge, a hilltop plaza. It is an ideal spot for contemplating the sweeping views of the mountains and valleys. From here you’ll find every spot picture perfect. Ridge is crowned by Christ Church. The stately yellow edifice features tall, arched stained- glass windows surrounded by fresco and inside, tablets commemorate British officers and citizen’s of the colonial period. Then you’ll see Gaiety Theatre. You can go to Summer hill via local taxi and visit Advance Studies. A beautiful building with Victorian architecture. When you go inside you’ll see English décor. It gives you a feeling as if you are back in 1800s and you are a part of it. You can go and see Heritage hotels. The whole time you’ll be in Shimla you’ll feel like you are travelling to and fro between modern India and vintage England, an amazing experience to have.


Day 3: Shimla-Manali  (280 Kms/8-9 Hours)
hanogi_mata_templeAfter breakfast checkout from the hotel &  drive towards the next stop of voyage “Mesmerizing Manali”.The drive from Manali to Shimla will take around 8-9 hours.When you’ll travel towards Manali from Shimla, you’ll feel the temperature become warmer, but as soon as you’ll cross Bilaspur and enter district Mandi you’ll again feel the same cool breeze. Then the beautiful Beas river will accompany you. It’ll be a magical experience, on one side you’ll see the blue river flowing graciously and on the other side of the road will be the mountain covered with thick forest. Truly heavenly view. Soon you’ll reach Kullu valley, cradled by the Pir Panjal to north, Parvati Ranges to the east, and Barabhangal Range to the west. This is Himachal at its most idyllic , with roaring rivers, pretty mountain villages, orchards, terraced fields, thick pine forest and snow-flecked ridges.
On reaching Manali check-in to your pre-booked hotel and fresh up.In the evening you can visit "The Mall Road" of Manali.Overnight stay at hotel. 

Day 4: Manali sightseeing Tour
Himachal’s main tourist resort, Manali is situated at the head of the Kullu Valley, 38km north of Kullu town. You could be staring from your hotel balcony across the apple orchids and thick pine forests of Solang Nala, which shine a tantalizing stone’s throw away to the north. You’ll find Manali entirely different from Shimla. 

After breakfast proceed for Manali Sightseen & visit Hadimba Temple which  is an ancient cave temple dedicated to Hadimba Devi, sister of Hadimb, who was a character in the Mahabharata.After seeking blessings from Hadimba Devi you will be visiting Vashist  Hot springs and temple situated on the bank of Beas River that turns towards Rohtang.Later visit Tibetan Monastery and  you’ll feel as if you actually are in Tibet. As the monastery is surrounded by many small shops owned by Tibetans. Here you’ll find everything, from accessories to clothes to statues. Where in Shimla you experienced English era , here in Manali you’ll experience Tibetan culture. All in all you’ll find every single place alluring and peaceful. They’ll make you forget about the worries of life. You can also go for boating, river crossing, bungee jumping etc in Van Vihar which is just a few steps away from Manali Mall road. After this eventful day an overnight stay in Manali.

Day 5: Manali-Rohtang Pass-Manali/ Day at Leisure
The fifth day is even more thrilling with a trip that helps you explore Rohtang Pass, Kothi Gorge, Marhi and Gulaba. You will love playing with snow at the very snowy Rohtang Pass.The name Rohtang means ‘ground of corpses’due to the number of people who lost their lives trying to cross it. The Rohtang Pass is on the Pir Panjal Mountain Range of the Himalayas and serves as  gateway to the Lahaul-Spiti,Pangi valley & Leh region.It offers beautiful sights of glaciers, peaks, Lahaul Valley and the Chandra River. The twin peaks of Geypan are also visible from Rohtang. You will also visit the Solang Valley, locally known as Solang Nullah, renowned as the preferred location for adventure activities.You can indulge in adventure activities like parachuting, paragliding, skating and zorbing(at your own cost).You can also enjoy the cable car ride at the state-of-the-art ropeway.

You can also enjoy the day at leisure in Manali if you dont wish to visit Rohtang  Pass. Night stay at hotel in Manali.

Please Note: National Green Tribunal( NGT ) is allowing only limited vehicle to Rohtang pass per day. Rohtang pass trip is subject to availability of permit from the SDM Office Manali on the spot with additional cost. 

Note : Cost for Rohtang Trip is not included 


Day 6: Manali-Dharamshala
We will check out from the Hotel in the morning and start our journey to Dharamshala. Enroute we will visit places like Pandoh Dam,Shiva Temple at Baijnath & Tea Capital of Northern India- Palampur .On reaching Dharamshala in the evening we will check in to a hotel, overnight stay follows in the Hotel.

Day 7: Dharamshala
The day after breakfast is for visiting the prime attractions of Dharamshala including the Tibetan Medical Centre for Cancer- various ailments are treated here using rare Buddhist medicines that have herbal ingredients, Church of St. John- an Anglican church-also known as St. John in the Wilderness that was constructed way back in the year 1852, the popular local monasteries where you can try meditating. The evening is at leisure. Overnight stay.

Day 8: Dharamshala-Dalhousie
On day 8, breakfast followed by check-out formalities. Later, begin driving towards Dalhousie, another beautiful hill station. On arriving, check-in at the hotel. The evening is free. Founded by Lord Dalhousie in 1854, Dalhousie boasts of a relaxed feel, cool fresh breeze verdant expanses of green and a pleasant climate. You can browse through shops at Tibetan Market located near Gandhi Chowk of Dalhousie for souvenirs or stroll at The Mall .Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 9: Dalhousie
Wake up fresh in the morning and have your scrumptious breakfast at the hotel.Today we will take you the JandriGhat Palace which is a beautiful colonial style bungalow surrounded by lush green deodar and pine trees.On your way back journey visit Panchpulla where water from natural resources flow under five bridges. In the afternoon we will visit St. Andrew's Church built in 1903 & St.Francis church built in 1894.In the evening take a refreshing walk on the ThandiSadak of Dalhousie.Night stay at hotel.

Day 10:Dalhousie-Delhi
Today is the last day of your Himachal tour. Have your breakfast and complete the check-out formalities. Start driving to Delhi for your onward journey.
