Itinerary
Day 1: New Delhi - Shimla
On arrival at Delhi airport/Rly station, our local representative will recieve you.Later drive by road to Shimla.It takes about 10 hours to reach Shimla from New Delhi.The route followed will be New Delhi-Chandigarh-Solan-Shimla. On reaching Shimla, check in at the hotel and fresh up.Spend your evening at the Mall Road.Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Shimla-Naldehra Day Trip
In the morning fresh up & enjoy your breakfast at hotel and then at 08:30A.M depart to explore the local beauty of Shimla with a visit to Naldehra which has a nine hole golf course. It was designed by the British viceroy, Lord Curzon who was so enchanted by this place that he gave his daughter Alexandra, Naldehra as her second name.Later seek blessings at the ancient Nag temple. On the way to Naldehra you can also visit Mashobra which is covered by thick forests and offers ideal walks.
After visiting Naldehra drive back to Shimla & visit the Viceregal Lodge & Botanical Gardens, Indian Institute of Advanced Studies, Jakhoo Temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman- the temple is situated at an altitude of 8048 feet above sea level and is the highest point of Shimla.After returning from Jakhoo Temple you can visit the Christ Church & St. Michael's Cathedral- the famous landmark church of Shimla built over a span of 11 years (1846-1857) and also the second oldest church of northern India. Evening is free for exploring The Ridge- a large open space in the heart of town which presents excellent view of the mountain ranges, The Mall hub of Simla which runs along the Ridge and is crowded with tourists. It is the city’s most famous shopping center, with shops selling all items, from clothes to junk food. Late evening drive back to hotel. Night stay at Hotel in Shimla.
Day 3: Shimla-Manali (280 Kms/8-9 Hours)
After breakfast checkout from the hotel & drive towards Manali.The drive from Manali to Shimla will take around 8-9 hours.On reaching Manali check-in to your pre-booked hotel and fresh up.In the evening you can visit "The Mall Road" of Manali.Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 4: Manali sightseeing Tour
Wake up fresh in the morning & enjoy your breakfast.Later proceed for Manali Sightseen & visit Hadimba Temple which is an ancient cave temple dedicated to Hadimba Devi, sister of Hadimb, who was a character in the Mahabharata.After seeking blessings from Hadimba Devi you will be visiting Vashist Hot springs and temple situated on the bank of Beas River that turns towards Rohtang. Taking a dip in this water is considered sacred by many. Later visit Van Vihar & Tibetan Monastery which serves as an important gathering place for Buddhists from Lahaul, Spiti, Kinnaur, Ladakh, Nepal and Tibet. Van Vihar is a is situated in front of the Tibetan market on Mall Road. In the lake located within the park, tourists can opt for boating. The park is adorned with big deodar trees. Evening is free for strolling on Mall Road and Shopping in local Market. Late in the evening drive back to hotel for night stay.
Day 5: Manali-Rohtang Pass-Manali
The fifth day is even more thrilling with a trip that helps you explore Rohtang Pass, Kothi Gorge, Marhi and Gulaba. You will love playing with snow at the very snowy Rohtang Pass.The name Rohtang means ‘ground of corpses’due to the number of people who lost their lives trying to cross it. The Rohtang Pass is on the Pir Panjal Mountain Range of the Himalayas and serves as gateway to the Lahaul-Spiti,Pangi valley & Leh region.It offers beautiful sights of glaciers, peaks, Lahaul Valley and the Chandra River. The twin peaks of Geypan are also visible from Rohtang. You will also visit the Solang Valley, locally known as Solang Nullah, renowned as the preferred location for adventure activities.You can indulge in adventure activities like parachuting, paragliding, skating and zorbing(at your own cost).You can also enjoy the cable car ride at the state-of-the-art ropeway.Later return to the hotel at Manali for the night stay.
Day 6: Manali-Manikaran-Kullu
Morning after breakfast checkout from hotel and transfer to Manikaran situated at an altitude of 1737 mts. on the right bank of river Parvati.This place is famous for hot sulphur springs revered by both Hindus & Sikhs pilgrimages. The water of the spring is also said to be radio-active which cures many skin diseases. According to an ancient saying Manikaran is also connected with Lord Shiva and his divine concert Goddess Parvati. On the way also visit Kasol Valley- Charmingly located with slopes down to a broad expanse of clear white sand at edge of the river Parvati. On the way to Manikaran you can also visit Vaishno Temple which is a small cave and shrine with an image of goddess Vaishno Devi. If you are an adventure sports lover you can enjoy white-water rafting at Babeli or Pirdhi near Kullu. Late in the evening drive back to Kullu (Bhuntar) for night Stay.
Day 7: Kullu(Bhuntar) - New Delhi
On day seven you will depart from Kullu to New Delhi, which is about 530 kilometers away from the valley.On reaching New Delhi you will be dropped at the railway station or airport. This is where your memorable holiday trip comes to an end.
